Humid Caves
This humid 10 gallon horizontally oriented tank keeps a pair of Goniurosaurus orientalis or Japanese cave geckos. It has 1 1/2" cocofiber and orchid bark mixed substrate to retain humidity but prevent mold and mildew (orchid bark is resistant to them). It has three medium sized porous rocks with holes through the center placed on their sides, and a piece of driftwood that has many holes, nooks, and crannies for the geckos to hide in and under. There is live pillow moss around the rocks and a bunch of syngonium rayii along the back to keep the humidity up and give the geckos a living planted environment. The lid to this tank is 3/4 plexi glass 1/4 screen to allow fresh air but simultaneously keepign humidity high.
