Due to temps already being 10*F in early December we, like many reptile and amphibian breeders, will be ending our shipped sales for the year. If you are ever shipping in the cold and have animals that need to be warmer than the outside temp please make sure you invest in the 20 hour + heat packs, 40 hrs are best! The human back patches say 8-12 hours, but in reality you'll be lucky if they make it 6 before they begin significant temperature drops. Nearly all packages take significantly longer than 12 hrs to reach their destination. And what do you do if your box gets lost? Thinking ahead and ensuring your animal heat for the next 30-40 hours could mean the difference between life and death for these critters. Also keep in mind that insulation is key. Even if your heat packs begin to cool down a well insulated package can retain that heat for quite some time.
